They were obviously proud of their employees, a letter to the Times 25 Mar 1931, from Geoffrey Howard, director, pays tribute to Albert J Gwinnell who had been continuously in their employment for 62 years and that the total years service of their 20 oldest employees totalled exactly 1,000 years.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_436\" style=\"width: 209px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"http:\/\/genpals.co.uk\/blog\/howards-sons-war-memorial-ilford-cemetery\/howards-sons-6-3-1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-436\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-436\" class=\" wp-image-436 \" title=\"Howards &amp; Sons 6 @3-1\" src=\"http:\/\/genpals.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/Howards-Sons-6-@3-1-224x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"199\" height=\"267\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-436\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Memorial at Buckingham Road.
